For those first time self-publishers

There’s a saying that the editing process is never done. Well, it’s really starting to feel that way. After three print runs for my paperback I’m still finding mistakes. It’s enough to make you grind your teeth down to their nubs.

My advice to you is not just have a copy editor, they are imperative, but after you get it back from them have several people read it, beg them if necessary, to get their feedback on errors the editor missed, or in my case, mistakes that happened when converting the manuscript from a RTF back into a simple Word document.

So stay vigilant, and keep at it.

Here’s hoping my 4th run of paperbacks are clean of mess-ups.
