My review of “The Way of Kings”

Brandon Sanderson’s “The Way of Kings” is an engrossing, spectacular read. It takes a little to get going – first few chapters or so – but it draws you in, and won’t let you go. Sanderson’s world building is stellar, the unique settings, creatures, and people are unforgettable. My only problem was it did drag a couple of times. Once was at a pivotal point of action where I found myself scanning through a character’s thoughts and descriptions to get to what I hoped was coming. It’s the start of a true epic and I hope he doesn’t take too long between publishing the later books.
